oliver from the city of trees

Oh how I love my home town. I also love it when I get a new nephew, giving me an excuse to spend a few days in Boise with my family. Getting to spend a few days sans children makes it even better! Here he is, sweet little Oliver Harrison.... (thanks Andrew & Paige for giving me such an adorable nephew!)

The trip gave me an excuse to play with my new camera. On Saturday we went downtown to 8th Street Marketplace where Andrew works in a Mac store. While my macbook received some TLC; Dad, Rachel, Patrick and I decided to take a walk. We ended up at the Capitol building and Moon's for a famous milkshake. It was a perfectly lovely afternoon, not once did I have to think about strollers or diapers or potty breaks.

The Idaho Candy Co., where the famous Idaho Spud candy bar is made. Yuck.

saw this door inside the senate chamber, pretty awesome that the sergeant at arms shares my name. It would be even better if she spelled her Jane with a "y" like mine!

Blackberry milkshakes make me happy!

Such a great trip! I wish I had pictures of the ridiculous amounts of pie that my mom made... I'll be in lemon meringue/banana cream detox for the next week. It's good to be home.

I haven't been to downtown Boise area in ages. I need to go next time I'm there. It looks much more interesting than the Walmart shopping center in Meridian.
