a festivus for the rest-of-us

We went to my parents house in Boise for Christmas. We got to stay for 2 whole weeks, so we had lots of fun, lots of hot cocoa, some snow, a few tears over George Bailey, too many legos, too much fudge, never ending pies, plenty of sleeping late, one midnight scrabble game (where I kicked some butt), thousands of pine nuts, one game of bowling, and not enough games of ping pong.

This is my favorite picture from the trip, and my favorite thing about snow. I love it when in comes down at night, and how it gets so bright outside. No flash was used:)

Brian, safe and warm in the house

Paige & Oliver

this was Dallan's first snow experience!

This was my dad's idea, and it worked out great!

Christmas morning, waiting for the signal to go downstairs.

This is what they found... it was a bit much, of course there were 11 of us:)

The first of many lego sets to be opened

After 2 presents, Dallan lost interest, I really think we could have saved some $.

Katy, playing her new DS game

One afternoon, I took the kids to the Discovery Center, a hands-on science museum for kids.

Good form.

Beautiful! I love the sled being pulled around. We used to go to the sand dunes for New Years and my mom would pull us around in the sand with her three wheeler on a snow disk. Not quite the same.

Hey, I was in Boise for two weeks over Christmas, too! We're like two ships passing in the night, but it took two weeks.
