Summer Fun

I can't believe the Summer is half over!  We've been enduring the scorching heat by swimming, going to the movies, swimming, going to the library, swimming, and staying indoors as much as possible.  During the hottest time of each day, Katy and Cameron have enjoyed reading, playing their new Lego Indiana Jones game, and building with their old fashioned legos.  They recently found Brian's chess board that doubles as a checkers game, which has become one of their favorite things.  Yesterday Katy opened an animal hospital in her bedroom.  All of her stuffed animals have been treated for various broken bones, they are so lucky to have her!  I found Spongebob in recovery wrapped in crepe paper bandages.  So cute.

Cameron has discovered how much fun the washer and dryer are.  He loves to help transfer the wet clothes to the dryer.  He climbs up on the stool and reaches down into the washer.  Sometimes I think he's going to fall in head first, one less bath to run I guess!

Dallan continues to be the cutest little distraction ever.  It's a wonder anything gets done around here.  Nothing makes me happier than to see Katy and Cam get excited over every little smile, laugh, burp and pretty much everything Dallan does.  Every time I give him a bath, they both come running.  "Oh look at his cute little tushie!  He's a naked baby!  He smiled mom!  Did you see him smile mom?  He likes his bath mom!  Look, he's peeing in the tub...so cute!  Oh he likes getting lotion on!  Oh he smells sooo good!  He's the cutest baby in the whole world!"  Bathing a baby with an 8-year-old and a 6-year-old on your lap is not the easiest thing, but it is the sweetest.
Brian continues to work hard on our behalf.  We're all excited to have him home on the 4th of July.  He's been such a good sport this summer.  I'm sure it's hard to live with 4 people who are on vacation when he's not.  We sure love him!
As for me, I'm still fighting the laundry battle of '08, but I believe I am winning!  (With Cam's help).  My calling as 1st counselor in YW is helping to keep me busy, I love it.  Other than that, I get to spend my day with the cutest kids ever, it doesn't get any better!

Oh my goodness, that baby's cute! We miss you guys so much, especially now that it's summer, since that is when our friendship blossomed last year. I wish Katy could have helped poor Oreo in his time of need...oh well. Come see us sometime...our door is always open. (You and Dallin should fly out for a weekend getaway while he's still free! Seriously.)
