back to the windy city

My trips to Chicago are becoming an annual event, which suits me just fine... I love, love, love it there. Brian would like nothing better than to move back to the midwest, and I am definitely warming to the idea (which is funny because it's so darn cold there.) Since we're not going to be able to sell our house anytime soon, I'll have to settle for a little trip now and then. This time I took Cameron, and he had fun in the big city. I enjoyed showing him a few sights seen in Ferris Bueller's Day Off... he knows he was named after Cameron Frye, but he just wasn't all that impressed. Oh well. Maybe it was because I dragged him from one end of Michigan Ave to the other, on foot. His poor little feet were tired. I think riding in a cab, on a water taxi, and the Metra train were his favorite parts of the trip, possibly because he got to sit down. He loved going to the top of the Sears tower, and talking me into buying Cubs paraphernalia from every store we went to.

We got to see my nieces Kelly and Abby dance in their recital, and of course the reason for the trip... Kelly's baptism. I'm so grateful that I was able to go and be a part of her special day.

Love your pictures! You have such a good eye. That must be something that comes naturally to some blessed people. And I don't mind if you stay here.
