As we were decorating the Christmas tree, I kept thinking "didn't we just do this?" 2008 went by unbelievably fast for the Carr family. We enjoyed countless blessings and went through many changes last year. I wanted to record some of my favorite memories, starting at the beginning...
Here's how I started the year, great with child! With the exception of the occasional smile (like this one at my baby shower with my dear friend Kristin), the first few weeks of 2008 were a blur of very impatient waiting for March 3, the blessed due date. (Thank you to my husband, children and good friends who helped me through and still love me!)
Unfortunately, March 3rd, came and went with NO baby!! Thanks to the Doctor, the scheduled induction was bumped up 3 days, and at 2:00 am, March 8th, after 16 hours in labor and delivery...
...Dallan Michael, 7 lbs. 12 oz.
Life just hasn't been the same since! Mom was incapacitated for a few days so poor Katy and Cameron had to fend for themselves for sustenance. Ham & cheese on hot dog buns, yum!
One of my favorite pictures, Dallan in my Dad's hands, so little!
All dressed up for Easter Sunday
Dallan's blessing day
The last day of school, a great day to turn 6!
Dallan loves his bath
and getting up in the morning
One of many hot summer days spent indoors
First day of 1st grade for Cam and 4th grade for Katy
Katy on her birthday tour at Sea World, 9 has it's privileges!
An exciting soccer season
Dally-bear fell in love with his reflection
All ready for church
Katy starts to play the cello (my favorite instrument)
Cam starts Karate lessons (his "hi-ya" is awesome!)
The cutest Christmas picture yet!
I'm certain that 2009 will bring us just as many memorable moments!

What a year! I have to admit I got a lump in my throat and my eyes filled with tears as I looked at the pictures of Dallan. What sweet pictures! I can't believe how big he has gotten. It doesn't seem like that long ago that Stacy and I visited you in the hospital. Time flies! You have such sweet kids. Hopefully 2009 will be as wonderful as 2008! I am so grateful our paths have crossed. I appreciate your friendship so much!
Much love,
Kristin
